Brasher Carroll join men?s track

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Razorback men’s track and field head coach Chris Bucknam has added two more student-athletes for the 2009-10 season, it was announced on Friday.

Both javelin throwers, Reid Brasher and Max Carroll will join the Razorbacks next season. They join a talented javelin crew that includes 2008 SEC Champion Luke Laird and regional qualifier Kyle Komarek.

Brasher is a native of Ruston, La. and attends Ruston High School. While competing for the Bearcats, he was the district runner-up as a junior and picked up all-district and all-region honors. He holds a career best of 191-7.

Brasher is a member of the National Honor Society, was named academic all-state and also lettered in football.

Carroll is a native of Shawnee, Kan. and attends Mill Valley High School. While competing for the Jaguars, he was a three-time league champion and a two-time regional champion. He holds a career best of 189-7. Carroll also lettered in basketball.
