FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas senior Kemoy Campbell navigated the 8K course at the 2013 Wisconsin adidas Invitational in a winning time of 23:12 to lead the field of 288 runners over the weekend and was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week for the second time this season. It was announced by the league on Tuesday. Campbell was the leader throughout the race as he set the SEC’s top 8k time of the season against a decorated field. He was also named an honorable mention selection for the USTFCCCA’s National Athlete of the Week. Previously, Campbell was awarded the honor for a second place finish in the 25th Annual Chile Pepper Festival just two weekends prior. Overall, the No. 6 Razorbacks finished in seventh place out of 35 teams after accumulating 266 points. Arkansas is now a perfect four-for-four in collecting SEC weekly honors this season. Campbell and the Razorbacks now prepare for the 2013 SEC Championship which will be held in Gainesville, Fla. on Friday, Nov. 1. The men’s 8K is slated for an 8 a.m. start.
