Carr, Rice Begin Play at Riviera/ITA Women's All-American

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- For the fourth consecutive year, the Arkansas women’s tennis team will be represented at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships in Malibu, Calif. No. 36 Jackie Carr and Tatum Rice will compete in the doubles qualifying draw from Oct. 2-3.

Qualifying Draw

The No. 8 seed in the tournament, Carr and Rice will face Carla Touly and Emmanuelle Salas of Florida State at 11 a.m. (CT). Of the 32 pairs in the qualifying draw, four will move on to the main draw of the championships.

In addition to playing for the All-American national title, Rice and Carr will also be competing for a berth into the 2018 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships in Surprise, Ariz. Doubles semifinalists and the consolation doubles champion and finalists will advance to the end of fall national championship.

Carr and Rice went 8-3 as a pair last season, primarily in fall tournament play.
