Jake Arledge is entering his first season on the Arkansas coaching staff as a student assistant after playing two seasons for the Razorbacks.
Arledge transferred to Fayetteville from Panola Junior College prior to the 2016 and went on to play in 100 games for the Razorbacks over two seasons, hitting .282.
He was one of Arkansas’ most consistent outfielders, making nine outfield assists and only two errors. Six of those nine assists came in 2017. He was also Arkansas’ top base stealer, swiping seven bages in each of the last two years.
Last season (2017), Arledge hit an even .300, good for third-highest on the team. He also totaled 47 runs, 63 hits, three home runs, and 30 RBIs.
In conference play, he hit .243 with nine RBIs and 12 walks and led all Razorback hitters with a .385 average in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.
Arledge is from Huntington Beach, California and is finishing his degree in business management.
