FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas women’s basketball coach Tom Collen and senior Ashley Daniels met with members of the media today to recap Thursday’s game at Kentucky and preview Sunday’s home game with Tennessee. Daniels, a Coldwater, Miss., native, matched her career-best with 22 points in the fast-paced game in Lexington, Ky. Although she considers herself more of a defensive post, she is happy to step up and hit shots when they are open. Collen, meanwhile, stressed that he and the team knew the first three Southeastern Conference games would challenge the Razorbacks. Arkansas opened at No. 15/9 Georgia, at No. 11/9 Kentucky and host No. 6/7 Tennessee Sunday. The Tennessee game airs live on ESPNU and is a 2:30 p.m. tip in Bud Walton. Tickets for Sunday’s game will be available at the door. The first 1000 fans to the game will receive a complimentary food and drink voucher to be redeemed at the concession stands in Bud Walton Arena. This voucher entitles the holder to a choice of a Petit Jean hotdog or large popcorn and a souvenir fountain drink. The voucher must be redeemed at this game only. Collen continued talking about the overall strength of the SEC and that no team is a sure win. Click on the links to watch more of today’s press conference with Daniels and Collen.
