Craig Lile in Fourth After First Two Rounds of
LAFAYETTE, La. – Arkansas junior Craig Lile is in a tied at fourth place after shooting a 1-under-par 143 in the first two rounds of the Louisiana Classic Monday afternoon. Arkansas as a team is in 13th place after the first day.

This is Lile’s third tournament to be in the top 10 going into the final day of competition.

After the first round, Lile was in fifth place after shooting a 1-under-par 71 at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette. His score of 72 in the second round places him in the tie for fourth with Franklin Hatchett of SMU.

Lile was named Southeastern Conference Golfer of the Week for the week of Feb. 23-29.

Freshman Jay Houk is in a tie for 37th after rounds of 77 and 74 for a 7-over-par 151. Houk’s stroke average for the season is 76.2.

Tying at 72nd are freshmen Beau Galyean and Drew Higginbotham. Both shot identical 14-over-par 158.

Sophomore Ed McSpadden is 81st with a 20-over-par 164. The Hogs will continue play Tuesday afternoon with a single final round.
