Daniel Lincoln Announced as Finalist for SECs

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior All-American and Fayetteville, Ark., native Daniel Lincoln has been chosen as a recipient for a Southeastern Conference post-graduate scholarship and is a finalist for the 2002-03 H. Boyd McWhorter SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, as announced by Commissioner Mike Slive Thursday.
One male athlete from each SEC institution was chosen from their respective schools as recipients of the scholarships. Lincoln will receive a $5,000 scholarship for his post-graduate studies, which include attending medical school. Last year, Lincoln graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in honors chemistry, with an emphasis in biochemistry and a minor in math while maintaining a 3.95 GPA. This year he has been pursuing an additional degree while he finishes his athletic eligibility.
