Day Two of Texas Relays in the Books
AUSTIN, Texas – Members of the Arkansas track and field team competed on day two at the 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday. The four-day event will conclude on Saturday.
In its first attempt at a Texas Relay title, Arkansas ran in the 4×800-meter relay. The quartet, Daniel LaCava, Chris Bilbrew, Andy McClary and Alex McClary, finished fifth with a combined time of 7:33.13. LaCava led off the race and split 1:51. Bilbrew took the second leg with a 1:52 split. Andy McClary had the third leg with a 1:55 split with Alex McClary anchoring with a 1:53 split.
Kent Austell ran the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles. He finished 26th, in the field of 46, with a clocking of 54.23.
Competition will resume at 9:30 a.m. Friday with the 4×100-meter relay.
