Diamond Hogs Wrap Up Fall Practice with World Series
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas baseball team wraps up fall practice next week with the Razorbacks’ Fall World Series at Baum Stadium.
The best three-of-five game series is set to begin Monday, Oct. 9, with the Hogs’ roster split into two teams. The series continues on Tuesday, Oct. 10 with game two and then takes a day off on Wednesday, Oct. 11. The third game of the series is slated for Thursday, Oct. 12. Game four, if necessary, will be played on Friday, Oct. 13, and if a fifth game is needed, it will be played on Sunday, Oct. 15.
The White team, led by captains Brian Walker and Danny Hamblin will face the Black team, which will be captained by Jake Dugger and Nick Schmidt.
The games are tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m. (subject to change) and free to the public.
The Razorbacks’ Fall World Series comes at the end of four weeks of fall practice that features a bevy of new faces. Arkansas welcomed 23 newcomers to campus in August, including 13 freshman, eight junior-college players and two transfers.
