Duo Selected For ITA National Fall Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas senior Leolia Jeanjean and sophomore Giulia Pairone have been selected to compete in the 2017 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, announced Thursday.

The tournament will be held Nov. 1-5, at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and other resort locations. The event, which serves as the conclusion of the fall collegiate tennis season, will include 128 of the nation’s top collegiate singles players (64 men and 64 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men’s teams and 32 women’s teams). It replaces the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.

Jeanjean and Pairone, the No. 9 ranked duo in the country, will compete in doubles, while Jeanjean, who is ranked No. 62 nationally in singles, will also complete in singles.

“What a great achievement for Giulia and Leolia,” head coach Michael Hegarty said. “The ITA Fall Nationals is a marquee event on our calendar, and it always helps us when we compete against the best competition. Both players are playing extremely well and will, no doubt, represent us well at Indian Wells.”

The Razorback duo is coming off a runner-up finish in doubles at the ITA Central Regional Championships.
