FAYETTEVILLE — According to ESPN’S Charlie Creme "The 2014-15 women’s college basketball season won’t tip off for more than six months. But it’s never too early to start looking ahead, right?"
And to follow that up Creme put together a pre preseason top 25 and Arkansas head coach Jimmy Dykes and the Razorbacks check in at No. 23. Here is what Creme had to say about Arkansas:
"23. Arkansas: The pieces are in place for new coach Jimmy Dykes. The Razorbacks, who beat NCAA tournament teams Florida and LSU, were the stingiest defense in the SEC last season and led the conference in turnover margin. Dykes now needs to build a more reliable offense around 6-3 Jessica Jackson, who averaged 16.2 points per game as a freshman this season."
Arkansas returns 10 of 11 players including four of five starters from last year’s 19-win team. In addition to Jackson, senior starters Calli Berna and Jhasmin Bowen return along with sophoomre starter McKenzie Adams. Sophomores Kelsey Brooks and Bria Pitts should also factor into the Razorback offense next season.
