EA Sports to Visit Arkansas to Authentically Replicate Bud Walton Arena; Hog Fans Can Vote to Have Arena Available for Free Download in March

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Developers for EA SPORTS NCAA March Madness will visit the University of Arkansas to collect reference photos, video and audio of fans, the band, cheer team, and Razorback mascot in order to authentically replicate the atmosphere in Bud Walton Arena in the NCAA March Madness videogame. EA SPORTS will gather reference material at the Arkansas vs. Alabama basketball game on Sunday, January 13th.

EA SPORTS will be visiting five college campuses during the month of January that will be authentically replicated in NCAA March Madness 09. One school will have its creation process accelerated and its arena made available to play in as a free download in weeks.

Through an online contest at www.marchmadness08.com, the school which receives the most votes will be authentically replicated in this year’s NCAA March Madness 08 game, and the arena will be available for download. Fans of their school will be able to vote online to show their school pride and ensure that theirs is the arena and atmosphere which makes it into the game almost immediately. The winning arena will be available for free download prior to the start of the 65-team NCAA Tournament.
