Eight Games Televised During 2016 Season

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – As part of the extended coverage for the sport, the University of Arkansas softball team will make eight television appearances in 2016. In their first season under head coach Courtney Deifel, the Razorbacks are set to make seven appearances on the ESPN networks with an additional game scheduled to air on Cox Sports. Three of Arkansas’ eight television games will originate live from Bogle Park.

Overall, more than 70 SEC softball games will be televised across the ESPN networks with additional coverage scheduled for the three-hour “Bases Loaded” show set for Sun., May 8, the final day of the regular season. Along with other school-produced events, all ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network games will also be available on WatchESPN.

Arkansas opens its 2016 campaign Feb. 11-14 at the Texas Classic in Austin. During the opening weekend, the Razorbacks are set to play North Carolina, North Dakota State and host Texas, all of which advanced to last year’s NCAA Tournament. After a second-consecutive road weekend, Arkansas makes its home debut Feb. 27-28 against Drake and UMKC as part of the Razorback Invitational.
