Coming up this week for Arkansas Tennis: The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team is coming down the home stretch in the 2005 fall season. This weekend, the Lady Razorbacks are splitting squads like they did at the William and Mary Collegiate Classic and Lady Rebel Invitational as Freshmen Aurelija Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder travel to Columbus, Ohio for the ITA National Indoor Championships and the remaining eight Lady’Backs travel to the SEC Fall Coaches Classic in Atlanta, Ga.

ITA National Indoor Championships rundown: Ohio State University is hosting the national tournament, which features the winners of all the ITA regional tournaments and several at large bids. Freshman Ela Kaluder is one of 32 singles players receiving an invitation to the tournament while Kaluder and fellow freshman Aurelija Miseviciute compete as one of 16 doubles squads. Action begins on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

SEC Fall Coaches Classic rundown: All Southeastern Conference schools are schedule to play at the tournament hosted at the Peachtree Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga. The Four-day tournament features four singles and four doubles flights.

Champions: The Lady Razorbacks tennis team has made an impact at every fall tournament in the 2005 fall season. So far this fall, Arkansas has won two flight titles matches in every tournament that include flights for a total of six. Leading the way for the Lady’Backs are freshmen Aurelija Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder with two apiece.

Hot Streak: Freshman Ela Kaluder began her collegiate career with a bang and has kept the ball rolling in singles with a team-best 17-0 record this fall. Kaluder gathered her last eight wins at the ITA Central Regional Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah on her way to the singles title.
