The Lady’Backs dropped three straight matches by a score of

4-3 over the weekend at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. They will swing back into action on against No. 13 William & Mary on Saturday and No. 45 North Carolina State on Sunday, which will mark five straight ranked opponents the Lady’Backs have faced.

Dangerous Duo:

Senior Audrey Bordeleau and freshman Anouk Tigu are pairing up great in doubles with an overall record of 5-0. The pair are 4-0 on Court 3 and 1-0 on Court 2. Over the weekend at the ITA Indoor Team Championships, they came up with large wins over No. 2 UCLA and No. 12 Fresno State. Bordeleau and Tigu dropped UCLA 8-4, while defeating a duo from Fresno State, 8-2. All results from this weekend can be found on Page 2.

Here is what Arkansas head coach Michael Hegarty had to say about his team’s 0-3 performance at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship:

"Our performances and improvements these past three days have been fantastic. We were one point away in each match from some of the largest wins in this programs fine history.This tournament is a real gut check for every team lucky enough to be here, and our gut check was really good."

Miseviciute Cruises:

Aurelija Miseviciute, ranked No.1 overall in women’s singles, had an excellent weekend in Madison, Wisc. at the Championships. Two of the three girls Miseviciute defeated were ranked in the nation’s Top 40. She defeated #25 Riza Zalameda of UCLA and #39 Melanie Gloria from Fresno State.
