FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Director of Operations Jeff Daniels and Associate Director of Academics Justin Johnson will join Mike Anderson on the final Mike’d Up of the year, the weekly radio show dedicated to Arkansas basketball at Sassy’s Red House in Fayetteville on Monday at 7 p.m.
The one-hour program gives fans an opportunity to interact with Razorback coaches and players, while also getting a chance to learn more about the personalities they witness on the court. Hosted by the voice of the Razorbacks, Chuck Barrett, the program features interviews with Coach Anderson and Arkansas student-athletes, coaches and staff members. Fans in attendance will also have an opportunity to ask the head Razorback their own questions. Fans can also send in questions to Coach Anderson on the day of each show via Twitter to @RazorbackMBB and by using the hashtag #MikedUp.
Daniels is in his fifth year with the Razorbacks after spending five years on Coach Anderson’s staff at Missouri. In his duties with the Razorbacks, Daniels is tasked with team travel, facility scheduling, the men’s basketball budget and overseeing the administration of Mike Anderson’s Razorback camps.
As the Associate Director of Academics, Johnson is responsible for monitoring academic progress to ensure student-athletes are meeting University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA requirements, tracking continuing eligibility, and providing registration and advising services. A 2006 graduate of the University of Arkansas, Johnson holds a bachelor of science in education and earned his master’s degree in sports management at Arkansas in 2008.
Arkansas caps its regular season this week, traveling to Alabama Wednesday evening for an 8 p.m. tip-off, before returning home Saturday for senior day and hosting South Carolina at 4 p.m. Both games will be televised on SEC Network. Mike’d Up can be heard across the Razorback Sports Network from IMG College across the state. Monday’s show starts at 7 p.m. and is the final of 12 radio shows throughout the year at Sassy’s Red House.
