Football practice report

The University of Arkansas football team continued practice Tuesday with a workout inside Walker Pavilion. Following the session, UA offensive coordinator Paul Petrino spoke with the media:

On Tuesday’s practice:"Practice was good. I thought our energy was high. People were flying around and I thought we were physical and playing fast. There are a couple of things to clean up, but the effort, energy and enthusiasm were good. It was a nice fast practice."

On the offensive line against Auburn:"It was their best day. They blocked well and the receivers blocked well out on the perimeter. All the way around it was our best blocking day as a group. We always talk about the offense as a fist. All 11 guys have to do their job and in the running game they did."

On London Crawford:"London had his best day of practice yet today, so that was good. He looked faster and caught the ball better and that helps. It takes some pressure off of Greg and helps him stay fresh. We had our best game period at receiver this past game and that helped keeping guys fresh. We have to keep working and improving. I think we got better today at practice. That’s a good thing when we keep improving daily in practice it gives you a chance to keep winning.

On facing Florida:"You have to go block and tackle, that’s what it comes down to. We’re excited and our kids are excited. I think our confidence level is up after the last two weeks. We have to go in there and believe. The only way you can win is if you believe you’ll win, so we have to believe we are going to win and go in there and get after it."
