FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas football team continued practice on Tuesday afternoon with the final full-pad workout before the Red-White Spring Game. Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jim Chaneyspoke with media after practice.
"We got through the work we needed to get through and all in all that was a really spirited practice. It was a lot of fun out there," Coach Chaney said of the day’s work. "We came out with a good attitude and got some good work done. For the most part, I was really pleased with how we practiced out there today."
It was another solid practice for newly transitioned tight end AJ Derby, who received glowing remarks from Coach Chaney afterwards.
"I think he’s done a wonderful job with the transition," Coach Chaney said. "His attitude is great. He’s got physical stature. He can run like the wind. He’s got good hands. He understands football. You know, I think I just described a tight end. There’s no question we’re counting on AJ to help us in the fall."
The Razorbacks will wrap up their spring practice sessions with the Red-White Spring Game on April 26. The Red-White Spring Game will be held in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium and broadcast live on CST. Game time is 1 p.m., and admission is free.
