FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – National Basketball Association stars Joe Johnson and Ronnie Brewer as well as several other former University of Arkansas men’s basketball players have made pledges to return to Fayetteville over the course of the next month to assist with Mike Anderson’s basketball camps.
Dwight Stewart and Clint McDaniel, who played on the 1994 national championship team, will be assisting in the operations of overnight camp while Johnson, Brewer and others plan to be in attendance at various points. Other Razorbacks that may be in town include NBA guard Jannero Pargo and Arkansas all-time leading scorer Todd Day.
There are four different basketball camps being run by Mike Anderson and his staff. The first, team camp, begins Friday, June 10. Overnight camp, for boys going into grades five through seven, begins on June 12 and runs through the 15th. Skills camp is designed for boys going into grades one through four and is hosted June 27 through June 30. Position camp completes the summer and is designed for boys between grades eight and 12 and is being held on Aug. 6.
