Four Run Eighth Inning Dooms Arkansas, 5-3

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mississippi State erupted for four runs in the top of the ninth inning for a 5-3 come-from-behind win over fifth-ranked Arkansas at Baum Stadium Friday night in front of 6,962 fans.
The Hogs led 3-1 going into the ninth inning after Scott Hode’s RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the eighth with junior Charley Boyce on the mound. Boyce had relieved freshman Nick Schmidt in the eighth inning and worked around a leadoff single to retire the side.
