FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team joins countless other teams in the fight against breast cancer with a Pink Zone game this month.
Join the Razorbacks Sunday, Feb. 21 as the host Alabama in a 2 p.m. game in Bud Walton Arena. Fans can show their support by purchasing a “Pink Game” t-shirt for just $15. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure-Ozarks.
Next year’s t-shirts will feature a local design created by someone from a Northwest Arkansas elementary or middle school.
The Arkansas marketing office is sponsoring a contest in which area students in the first through eighth grades can submit drawing of their designs. The top three winners will be picked in five age categories. The final 12 winners (three from each category) will be recognized at the game against Alabama.
One overall winner will be selected from the 12 finalists with that design adorning next year’s t-shirt.
