JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Arkansas shot a team score of 304 in the final round of The Ridges on Sunday to drop from 14th to 15th in the team’s first tournament of the year. Arkansas posted scores of 299-295-304 for a team total of 898, 34 over par. Texas Christian won the tournament hosted by East Tennessee State at The Ridges Golf and Country Club with rounds of 274-280-287 for a total of 841, 23 under par. Sophomore Chad Faucett was UA’s top individual, finishing tied for 49th at seven over 223 (70-73-80). Josh Farrell, a freshman, was eight over (224) with rounds of 77-72-75. Sophomore Adam Wing was a shot back at 225 (75-77-73). Sophomore Andrew Dahl (77-73-84) and junior Drew Higginbothom (81-77-76) were each 18 over (234). TCU’s Steve Shuert was the medalist at 12 under with rounds of 69-67-68 (204). In the team standings, Southern California was second at 851 followed by Oklahoma at 857, South Carolina 858, Auburn 860, Tennessee 865, East Tennessee 866, Wake Forest 867, Clemson 871, Kansas 881, North Florida 883, Pepperdine 885, North Carolina 888, Houston 890 and Arkansas 898. The next tournament for the Razorbacks is Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Southern Methodist Stonebridge Invitational in Dallas.
