FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas tight end Chris Gragg has been named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the Nassau County Sports Commission, it was announced Wednesday.
In last week’s 44-17 win over Mississippi State in Little Rock, Gragg produced a career game, notching single-game career highs with eight receptions and 119 receiving yards, including a season-long 41 yarder. The Warren, Ark., native also made one touchdown reception against the Bulldogs.
This season, Gragg ranks third on the team with 38 receptions and 457 receiving yards and is tied for fourth among the Razorbacks with two touchdown receptions. He currently ranks sixth in the SEC, first among tight ends, with his average of 3.5 receptions per game.
No. 3 Arkansas travels to take on top-ranked LSU on Friday. Kickoff from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., is set for 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
