Gymbacks Stay At No. 10 In Latest National Rankings

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas gymnastics team scored its third 196.000 plus with a 196.100 at No. 7 Alabama to remain in the No. 10 spot in the Gyminfo rankings this week. All-American Katherine Grable scored a 39.475 to win her third all-around competition in as many chances on the season and earn the No. 4 ranking overall. She also posted new season bests on the vault (9.95) and floor (9.925) to capture those event titles as well. Grable is now three-for-three on collecting vault, floor and all-around titles this season. In the event rankings, the Razorbacks are for No. 14 on the vault and bars, 5th on the beam and 18th on the floor. In the individual rankings, Grable stands at the No. 9 spot on the vault, 14th on beam and 9th on floor. Freshman Amanda Wellick scored a 39.300 in the all-around at Alabama to bring her average to a 39.217 on the season and earn herself the No. 17 overall gymnast in the country. Also in the individual rankings, sophomore Sydnie Dillard is No. 11 on the beam. The Razorbacks return to action to host No. 12 Auburn in Barnhill Arena on Friday, Jan. 31.
