Emily gets ready to compete beam. |
On paper it may seem as though our last two competitions were disappointing, but in reality the challenges of both competitions may in fact have prepared us even more for the final push of the 2005 season. At this point of the season, every team can perform their routines physically. However, to really achieve under pressure, your mental and emotional game are even more important. That is what we come away with from these last two competitions, identifying our weaknesses and correcting them. The meet against Alabama reminded us, that as a team we need to focus on performing and entertaining, not on the pressures of being evaluated. The meet against Denver, reaffirmed how important our team cohesiveness is to our success.
Thanks Kat! |
Neither of those concepts has to deal with our actual skills and routines, yet our hearts and our minds are equally as important as ourrehab and practices. Everything matters! The team is re-focused, re-energized, and ready to COMPETE! We are ready for our meet this Sunday against Missouri. It should be a good one!
