FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas gymnastics team moved up a spot to claim the No. 10 ranking in the latest release of the Gyminfo polls. The Razorbacks also have four gymnasts in the top 25 in the individual event rankings. The Razorbacks scored a 196.200 for the second-highest score in a season opening meet to move into the top 10 in the national rankings. In the event rankings, the Razorbacks are tied for No. 14 on the vault, tied for 6th on the bars, 4th on the beam and 20th on the floor. Senior Katherine Grable scored a 39.475 to post the 4th best score in the nation to earn her that spot in the rankings. In the events, Grable is No. 18 on the vault, No. 18 on the beam and No. 9 on the floor. Freshman Amanda Wellick scored a 39.300 on the all-around in her first collegiate meet to earn herself the No. 13 overall gymnast in the country and tied for No. 17 on the bars. Also in the individual rankings, senior Shelby Salmon is tied for the No. 17 spot on the bars and sophomore Sydnie Dillard is No. 8 on the beam. The Razorbacks will return to action when the team travels to Columbia, Mo., to compete in the squad’s first road conference meet against Missouri.
