Hester assumes role as president

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas women’s golf coach Kelley Hester assumed the role of president of the National Golf Coaches Association it was recently announced. Hester, who just completed her fourth season at the helm of the Lady Razorback program, had served for two years as the organization’s vice president and assumed her role as president this week. "I consider it both an honor and a privilege to serve the NGCA," said Hester. "During my time as a player, as a coach and most recently as a member of the board of directors, I have had the opportunity to learn the ins and out of the organization and I truly believe in the benefits the NGCA affords it membership. I look forward to the next few years as women’s collegiate golf continues to grow." Hester has paced the Lady Razorbacks to four record-setting years. Most recently, she guided the team to back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances most recently finishing 10th at the national meet.
