FAYETTEVILLE — In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, ArkansasRazorbacks.com will feature several student-athlete stories on Wednesday from Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
Ten different student-athlete from the University of Arkansas will be featured throughout the month.
The University of Arkansas’ Athletic Department recognizes its heritage and the countless contributions made by Hispanic and Latino student-athletes, coaches and fans in all 19 of its varsity sports. The Razorbacks are proud to celebrate this great tradition and recognize some of the inspiring pioneers, great student-athletes and outstanding role models that have worn a Razorback uniform as a part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Sept. 19 — Ana Lorena Belmar (Guadalajara, Mexico, WTN) and Roslandy Acosta (Vargas, Venz., VB)
Sept. 26 — Claudine Paulson (Guayaquil, Ecuador, WTN) and Ashley Vazquez (Gurabo, PR, VB) and Eric Fernandez (MTR)
Oct. 3 — Regina Plasencia (Guadalajara, Mexico, WGF) and Janeliss Torez Lopez (Salines, PR, VB) and Santiago Munoz (MTN)
Oct. 10 — Gabriela Lopez (Mexico City, Mexico, WGF) and Raymariely Santos (Ponce, PR, VB)
