FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas had two singles players advance on Friday’s first round of the RazorRacket Invitational, but both were eliminated on Saturday. Sophomore Andrei Nicoara and senior Talley Parker both lost on the second day of play. Nicoara, who advanced to the quarterfinals with two tiebreaker victories on Friday, dropped his Flight A match to Oklahoma State’s Thomas Bohunicty, 6-3, 6-4. Parker fell to Jeff Stone of Southwest Missouri State, 6-3, 6-2, in the semifinals of Flight B. Nicoara, who advanced with wins over Mark Finnegan of Memphis and Tom de’Larzac of Saint Louis, is now 4-3. Parker, who beat Umair Qayyam of Oral Roberts on Friday, is now 2-4. The Razorbacks next event is Oct. 14 at the ITA Regionals in Tulsa, Okla.
