FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas gave up the fewest points ever allowed in Bud Walton Arena as defense dominated in a 100-40 rout of Maryland-Eastern Shore Tuesday.
UMES (1-7) had almost as many missed shots (37) as points scored. The Fighting Hawks did have as many turnovers (40) as points scored.
Arkansas (9-3) shot 68 percent in the second half and outscored UMES 54-18 in the final 20 minutes. For the game, the Razorbacks, who have forced 82 turnovers in the last two games, shot 60 percent and had 24 steals, the second-highest single-game total in school history to the 26 recorded against Louisiana-Monroe earlier this year.
