Hogs Wrap Up Competition In Minneapolis

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback tandem Jose Salazar and Adam Sanjurjo advance to the round of eight at the ITA Central Regional Championships, before being defeated to wrap up competition for Arkansas in Minneapolis.

In doubles, No. 27 Salazar and Sanjurjo defeated Jan Pehnac and Kenneth Allen Boykin of Oral Roberts 8-1 to advance to the afternoon round of eight. The Razorback duo struggled, falling to Artur Dubinski and Eleftherios Theodorou of Oklahoma State 8-1.

The Arkansas tandem of Oscar Mesquida and Josh Howard-Tripp fell in the round of 16 to Mathieu Scaglia and Brady Draheim 8-6.

Junior Oscar Mesquida fell to Tulsa’s Majed Kilani 6-4, 6-2 to drop to 5-4 this fall. Freshman Jose Alonzo fell in a battle to Wichita State’s Marius Frosa 7-6 (3), 6-3 to drop to 6-3 overall this fall.
