Hogs Clinch No. 3 Seed; Open SEC Tournament against South Carolina on Thursday

ATLANTA, Ga. – Arkansas has clinched the No. 3 seed in the Southeastern Conference’s Western Division and will open play in the 2007SEC basketball tournament on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. CT against South Carolina, the No. 6 seed out of the Eastern Division, at the Georgia Dome.

Thanks to the Razorbacks’ upset of No. 19 Vanderbilt on Saturday and Mississippi State’s victory over Alabama on Sunday, Arkansas finished tied for third in the western division and clinched the No. 3 seed due to a series of tiebreakers over Alabama and Auburn.

The Arkansas-South Carolina winner will advance to play Vanderbilt (No. 2 Eastern Division) on Friday at 2:15 p.m. CT.
