Hogs Finish 10th at U.S. Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. The Arkansas men’s golf team finished tied for 10th with a 39-over-par 879 at the U.S. Intercollegiate on the 6,742-yard, par-70 Stanford Golf Course on Sunday.

Host Stanford and Minnesota tied for the team title with identical scores of 2-under-par 838 but the Cardinals won the tiebreaker. The Razorbacks fired an opening round 289 and followed that with a 292 in the second round and a 298 in Sunday final round.

Hogs’ sophomore Andrew Landry once again led the way with a tie for seventh place at 1-over-par 211. He opened with a 69 in the first round and then shot an even par 70 in round two and came home with a 72 in round three.

Beau Glover made his second start in the lineup this spring and finished tied for 33rd with a 9-over-par total of 219 after rounds of 76, 71 and a 73 in Sunday’s final round. Barrett Lais finished one shot back of Glover and tied for 36th at 10-over-par 220.

Sophomore Jason Turner opened with a solid day on Saturday with rounds of 73 and 76, but struggled in the final round with an 80. He finished tied for 66th at 19-over-par 229. Andrew Carroll finished 77th to round out the Razorbacks’ lineup.
