Hogs Host RazorRacket Classic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas will host the 2010 RazorRacket Classic this weekend at the Billingsley Tennis Center. The four Hogs contending include Nick Spinnaze, Taj Harrison, Mike Nott and Hall Fess. This tournament will be Fess’ début as a Razorback. Along with the Hogs, five other teams will compete, including the University of Tulsa, Wichita State University, Tyler Junior College and two teams from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The tournament will be an individual draw that will span from Friday to Sunday. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities will be utilized during the tournament, regardless of weather.

The Classic will consist of four sessions. Session one will begin Friday at 3 p.m., followed by two sessions Saturday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and the final session will commence on Sunday at 9 a.m. In each session, four singles matches and two doubles matches will be played. Each player is guaranteed four singles and four doubles matches.

“These guys are going to get some more work this weekend, Hall Fess will make his début, and it should be some good tennis for these guys,” says head coach Robert Cox. “We are going to play a lot of matches.”
