Hogs open against Cajuns in triple-header
FAYETTEVILLE— The No. 51 Arkansas Razorbacks men’s tennis, fresh off its successfully showing at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend will return home to host Louisiana-Lafayette, Wichita State and Cowley County this weekend.
“This team works hard and earned a solid win against a tough Columbia team, “ Cox said. “Our doubles continue to be strong and we are playing with a lot of confidence. Chris Nott is playing very well at the top of the lineup and is filling Blake Strode’s shoes very well.”
First on the schedule for the Hogs will be Friday’s match with Louisiana-Lafayette set for 6 p.m. to be held at the Dills Indoor Center in Fayetteville. Free pizza will available for fans during the break between doubles and singles action on Friday.
Louisiana-Lafayette opened the spring season last weekend against the No. 6 Baylor in Waco, Texas. The Cajuns fell to the Bears, 7-0 and Baylor now leads the series 7-5.
Following their match against Louisiana-Lafayette, the Razorbacks will face Wichita State and Cowley County in a doubleheader Sunday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
“We are looking forward to being back in Fayetteville and a great weekend of tennis,” head coach Robert Cox said. “We are battled tested and continue to get better after every match.”
