Hogs prepare for final bout of 2009 season

DALLAS, TX-The University of Arkansas men’s golf team is set to conclude its fall 2009 season with an appearance at the Baylor Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will commence on Monday morning at the par 71, 7,068-yard Royal Oaks Country Club with a field of 12 teams.Arkansas will face tournament host, Baylor as well as BYU, Iowa, Lamar, New Mexico, Oklahoma, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Tulsa and UTSA. Texas has the highest-ranking team among the field at No. 4 in the latest Golfstat standings, while defending NCAA champion Texas A&M is rated ninth.The tournament now in its second year in existence also marks the Razorbacks second appearance. The Hogs previously finished fourth as a team with a three-round score of 875 (+23). Texas A&M won the tournament with an 870. Senior Razorback at the time, Andrew Landry was Arkansas’ top individual as he shot +1 for the tournament to finish tied for fourth. David Lingmerth tied for 15th (+7), Ethan Tracy tied for 25 (+10), Jamie Marshall tied for 32 (+12) and Jason Cuthbertson tied for 35th (+13).
