Hogs return for Morris Williams Intercollegiate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The University of Arkansas men’s golf team returns to the course on March 30-31 for the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the 7,412 yard, par 71 University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. The UTGC is also one of the six NCAA Regional Championship hosts to be played May 14-16.This year’s field includes Texas, Air Force, Baylor, BYU, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Rice, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UNLV and USC.The 2008 team champion was Texas with a 16-over 868 finish. Texas’ Bobby Hudson took the individual medal with a 5-under 208(73-70-65). Hudson’s 65 in the final round set a new course record at The University of Texas Golf Club.The Morris Williams Intercollegiate marks the fourth event of the spring season for the Razorbacks who have had fourth, fifth, and second place finishes in their three previous tournaments, John A. Burns Intercollegiate, Seminole Intercollegiate and the Border Olympics.Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.com.
