Hogs road trip to face No. 6 Georgia

FAYETTEVILLE– The No. 41 University of Arkansas men’s tennis team will continue conference play on the road this Sunday against the sixth-ranked Georgia team at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga. First serve is set for 1 p.m. and live stats will be available at georgiadogs.com.
Arkansas is 9-7 on the season and look to bounce back after dropping a pair of tough losses to SEC foes, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, last weekend.
At the top of the lineup, Christopher Nott continues to prove strong for the Hogs, jumping eight spots to No. 49 in the singles rankings. Nott owns an overall record of 16-8 and 9-3 in dual matches at the No. 1 singles position. Freshman Michael Ward boasts 5-1 dual match record in singles action, playing mostly at the No. 6 position. Sophomore Matt Walters continues to battle for the Hogs and boast a 7-2 dual match record and 2-1 in conference matches.
Georgia’s 9-0 homestead winning streak ended on Friday as the Bulldogs fell to the No. 3-ranked Southern California, 4-2. The Bulldogs are 12-3 on the season, led by No. 18 Javier Garrapiz with a record of 23-12. Other Bulldogs listed in the rankings are No. 96 Nate Scnugg and the duo of Schnugg and Jamie Hunt at No. 39 in double action. The duo cracked the rankings for the first time with a 14-6 overall and a 6-5 record at the No. 1 doubles position.
