FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Four University of Arkansas men’s basketball players visited the Salvation Army Kids Games at Elmdale Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
Sophomore Kikko Haydar and freshmen-to-be Rashad Madden, Hunter Mickelson and BJ Young joined Director of Student-Athlete Development Scotty Thurman at the camp and the four Razorbacks spoke to those in attendance about being good citizens, engaging students and listening to their parents. The quartet also answered several questions posed to them by camp staffers before signing autographs.
The trip to the Salvation Army Kids Games is one of several things that Razorback men’s basketball players have done over the summer. Several weeks ago nearly the entire 2011-12 squad gave a tour of Bud Walton Arena to kids who were involved in a summer camp in Bentonville and in mid-August have a trip planned to a local community center.
