Howard-Tripp Falls In Semifinals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman Josh Howard-Tripp fell in Saturday’s semifinals to complete action for the Razorbacks at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Saturday.

Howard-Tripp advanced to the semifinals of the classic, before falling to Minnesota’s Felix Corwin 7-6, 6-3. Howard-Tripp made his semifinals appearance by defeating Aziz Kijametovic (Old Dominion) 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 in the quarterfinals. The Johannesburg, South Africa, native moves to 4-3 in singles action through two tournaments this fall.

Senior Jose Salazar came up short in his quarterfinals, falling to Mitch Harper of Virginia Tech 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. It was Salazar’s first loss of the season, as he won his first four matches of the weekend, holding a 4-1 record in his first tournament this season.
