Jan. 2 game moved to 11 a.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback men’s basketball game time with Alabama-Birmingham scheduled for Jan. 2 at Bud Walton Arena has been changed to 11 a.m. The Razorback Sports Network television broadcast will air live on KATV, KAIT and KNWA with the Pelphrey pregame show on KATV and KNWA.

Razorback officials have moved the tip of the men’s basketball game to allow fans an opportunity to also watch the Razorback football team’s participation in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl which kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.

"As we looked at the schedule and considered the strong possibility that we would be playing in a bowl game on Jan. 2, we moved forward with plans to adjust the men’s basketball game time to accommodate our fans," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. "We appreciate Coach John Pelphrey, Razorback Sports Properties and all of our television and radio affiliates for working with us to make the game time more convenient for our fans. For those not traveling to Memphis, they will now have the opportunity to cheer on the Razorbacks at the men’s basketball game at Bud Walton Arena before watching the Razorbacks play East Carolina in the 2010 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Razorback fans support all of our programs and we want to do everything we can to help make it easier to follow the Hogs."

The Arkansas-UAB game is the ninth of 25 Razorback men’s basketball games on television this season.

"We are thankful for KATV, KAIT and KNWA for working with us to move our telecast to the 11 a.m. tipoff," Razorback Sports Properties general manager Ryan Gribble said. "This move enables fans throughout the state to Call the Hogs all day long on Jan. 2."
