Jeanjean Advances To Round Of 16

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Arkansas senior Leolia Jeanjean defeated Debbie Vogasari of Kansas in the singles round of 32, 6-4, 6-3, Thursday at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Jeanjean, the tournament’s No. 16 seed, will play No. 2 seed Ashley Lahey of Pepperdine on Friday at 11 a.m. CT in the round of 16.

Jeanjean and sophomore Giulia Pairone, the nation’s No. 9 ranked tandem, dropped a hard-fought 6-7 (2), 6-4, 1-0 (9) decision to No. 5 seed Rose Johanson and Meghan Kelley of Virginia in the doubles round of 16.
