EDEN PRAIRIE, Minnesota – University of Arkansas senior Dylan Kim posted three rounds under par to finish third while leading the Razorback women’s golf team to a sixth-place finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M on Wednesday.
Kim was solid throughout the event shooting 67-68-70=205 against one of the toughest fields in college golf. Kim carded a final round 2-under 70 with three birdies on the back nine. She played the second side of the Royal Golf Club 7-under over three rounds.
Redshirt freshman Brooke Matthews finished tied for 21st with rounds of 71-71-73=215 followed by senior Maria Fassi who tied for 25th overall shooting 72-72-72=216. Senior Kaylee Benton and junior Grace St-Germain each tied for 37th overall. Benton posted scores of 77-69-74=220 while St-Germain shot 77-73-70=220.
The Razorbacks finished sixth overall against a field that featured seven of the top-10 teams in the nation. Just two shots out of fifth and five behind the top-4, Arkansas shot 287-280-285=852 for its second consecutive tournament under par. Arkansas was one of two teams to record three eagles at the event (Fassi, Matthews and Kim) and Kim counted 15 birdies over three rounds.
Arkansas continues its season with the third of four fall events Oct. 12-14, at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The fall wraps up at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina Oct. 26-28. The Razorbacks host the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships at Blessings Golf Club May 17-29.
