LaBarbera Second At Mexican Am

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas junior golfer Jordy LaBarbera posted a final round 70 finishing second at the 2017 Women’s Mexican Amateur Championship in Mexico City on Thursday.

LaBarbera’s round of 70 was the best round of the day as she finished with scores of 74–78–72–70—294. Sophomore Cara Gorlei also finished in the top five, tying for fourth place shooting 77–73–74–72—296.

Senior Summar Roachell moved up in the final round scoring with rounds of 77–74–81–74—306 and was 10th overall. Mexico City native Maria Fassi, the two-time defending champion at this event, finished tied for 13th place shooting 75–78–78–77—308. Senior Summar Roachell rounds out the Razorback scoring with rounds of 77–74–81—232 and is 14th overall.

The Razorbacks return to campus this week beginning preparation for the first event of the spring at the 2017 Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
