Lady'Backs in WNIT against UNLV

FAYETTEVILLE – The season continues for the University of Arkansas as an official bid to the Postseason Sportsview.TV Women’s NIT was extended to the Lady Razorbacks late Sunday evening

The Lady Razorbacks host Nevada-Las Vegas (16-13) in the first round of the 32-team Women’s NIT on Friday evening.

Arkansas (16-13) enters the postseason for the first time under head coach Susie Gardner.

“We had a great practice today in anticipation of playing,” Gardner said. “We’re excited that the season will continue, and we are extra excited we’re playing in Walton. We hope lot of people come out.”

The complete bracket is not available at this time, but the winner of Arkansas-UNLV will face the winner of Arkansas State-Mississippi State in the second round.

According to official web sites of other institutions, Iowa and Kentucky have also accepted bids and will host first round games.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on Monday through the Lady Razorback Ticket Office. Reserved seats for the opening round game are $9.00. General admission adult tickets are $7.00 with student or youth general admission tickets $3.00.

Tickets can be purchased on line at LADYBACKS.COM after 9 a.m. Monday for pick up at the Lady Razorback Ticket Office or the will call gate at Bud Walton Arena.
