Lady'Backs take on No. 2 Tennessee on Thursday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tom Collen takes his University of Arkansas Lady Razorback basketball team on the road this Thursday to face the defending national champion Tennessee Lady Vols.

Tip off is 6 p.m. central time (7 est) on the Lady Razorback Radio Network, and here at LADYBACKS.COM.

Arkansas, 16-3, tries to rebound after a tough contest on Sunday at Walton Arena against Florida. The task gets tougher with the No. 2 ranked Lady Vols who are led by all-America candidate Candace Parker.

Last season, Arkansas took Parker and the Lady Vols into overtime, but that game was Fayetteville.

With Lauren Ervin out for the season, Arkansas has turned to Brittney Vaughn and Sarah Pfeifer as its senior leaders. The duo have become Arkansas’ leading scorers in SEC games, with Vaughn turning in 12.8 ppg, considerably higher than her season average of 8.8 ppg.

Arkansas returns home to Walton Arena this Sunday for another SEC matchup, hosting the Miss State Lady Bulldogs at 2 p.m.
