Lady'Backs tip on the tube tonight from Starkville; 8 pm on FSN

STARKVILLE, Miss — It’s a new look for the Lady Razorback basketball team as 18-5 Arkansas travels to Miss State tonight for a regionally televised game from the Humphrey Coliseum.

Tipoff is 8 p.m. on Fox Sports Net — check your local affiliate listings — as Arkansas bringsa new starting lineup to the game with the Lady Bulldogs. State won the first meeting in Fayetteville, and comes into the game with a three-game winning streak.

The Lady’Backs dropped a pair of difficult top 25 games last week to LSU and Vanderbilt, and Susie Gardner had revamped the starters to get more offense from the start of the game.

Arkansas’ defense was outstanding last week, holding two of the nation’s top teams in check. Particularly against Vandy, the Lady’Backs kept the nation’s top shooting team to near season lows. Unfortunately, Arkansas owen offense hit SEC game record lows in the contest.

Only the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, Lauren Ervin, and team captain point guard, Brittney Vaughn, are staying in the starting five. Gardner will send sophomore Whitney Jones in at the other post with Ervin, and senior Leslie Howard and freshman Tanisha Smith join Vaughn on the perimeter.
