Lady'Backs Travel to Cajun Country

FAYETTEVILLE-The Arkansas softball team travels to Shreveport, La., to meet Centenary College in a non-conference doubleheader, Wednesday at 3 p.m.

The Lady Razorbacks lead the all-time series 3-0 with Arkansas winning the last contest 8-0 March 7, 1999 in Fayetteville. This mid-week game marks the first time the Lady’Backs have meet Centenary on its home field.

Arkansas softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton said he looks forward to the doubleheader after he watched his team improve at the plate against No. 16 Florida.

“I think going to Centenary we just have to stay focused,” Pinkerton said. “I thought this weekend we did hit the ball well. We’re just going to have to work harder.”

Sophomore outfielder Rachel LeMaster leads the Lady’Backs with a .384 batting average and 38 hits. Senior infielder Ashley Carter follows with a .307 average and 27 hits.
