Landry Finishes Tied for Fourth; Hogs 10th at SEC Championships

SIMON ISLAND, Ga.

Arkansas shot its best round of the weekend to finish 10th at the SEC Golf Champions on the par-70, 6,991-yar Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club on Sunday.
Razorback sophomore golfer Andrew Landry finished tied for fourth with a 6-over-par 216 for the 54-hole event. He fired a 1-over-par 71 in Sunday’s final round after a 73 in the opening round and a 72 on Saturday.

The Razorbacks shot a 6-over-par 285 as a team during the final round to finish at 57-over-par 897 for the weekend. Arkansas got consistently better all weekend after a 316 in the opening round and a 295 in round two.

Tennessee won the SEC title with a 29-over-par 869 and a 5-over-par 285 on Sunday. Alabama finished second at 871 and Auburn was third at 874.

Auburn’s Patton Kizzire captured medalist honors with an even-par 70 in the third round. He finished at 1-over par 211 for the championship. The Volunteers’ Chris Paisley and Tino Weiss were second, four shots off the lead at 215.

Senior Beau Glover posted the Hogs second-bests score at 17-over-par 227 to finish tied for 38th. He fired his second consecutive 2-over-par 72 on Sunday after a tough 83 in the opening round.

Barrett Lais slipped back on Sunday with an 83 to finish tied for 53rd at 24-over 234. Jason Turner did just the opposite with an impressive even-par-round of 70, which was the highest of any Razorback at the SEC Championships, to finish tied with Lais in 53rd place at 234.

Dalton Owens rounded out the Hogs scoring with a 3-over-par 73 on Sunday. He finished tied for 55th at 25-over-par 235.
