Landry Named PING Honorable Mention All-American

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.Arkansas sophomore golfer Andrew Landry was named an honorable mention PING All-American on Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Landry led the Razorbacks with a 72.2 scoring average after finishing tied for sixth at the NCAA Central Regional last month. He also finished tied for fourth at the SEC Championships in mid-April.

Landry is the first Hog to earn All-America honors since Andrew Dahl captured second-team accolades in 2003.

“Andrew (Landry) turned an outstanding season that was very deserving of All-America honors,” Arkansas head coach Brad McMakin said. “He produced consistent performances with outstanding results each time he teed it up.”

Landry finished in the top 10 in eight-of-13 events during the 2006-07 season. He also carded six top five finishes, including a runner-up performance at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic.
